this privacy policy explains how photobanquet inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “service”).

1. information we collect

we may collect:

account information — phone number used for sign-in and verification, and profile details you provide (such as name or photo).
content — photos and related metadata you upload to banquets, banquet highlights, and profile features.
social and activity data — banquets you create or join, friends, friend requests, comments on highlights, reactions, notifications, and blocks or reports you submit
device information — device type, operating system, app version, and push notification tokens (if you enable notifications).
usage data — how you interact with the service, such as features used and general diagnostic logs.

2. how we use information

we use information to:

provide, secure, and improve the service
authenticate you and manage your account
display photos and activity to you and other banquet participants or friends as you intend
send verification codes, service messages, and (with permission) push notifications
review reports, enforce community standards, and respond to abuse (see our terms of service)
comply with law and enforce our terms of service

3. how we share information

we may share information:

with other users — photos and activity in banquets are visible to members of that banquet; banquet highlights are visible to friends per app rules.
with service providers — hosting, sms/otp delivery, analytics, or push services that help us run the service under contractual safeguards.
for legal reasons — if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate notice where required.

we do not sell your personal information.

the above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. retention and account deletion

banquets are temporary by design. content may be deleted or become inaccessible when a banquet expires, subject to backups and legal retention requirements. you may remove certain content (such as banquet highlights from your profile or your own comments) while features remain available in the app.

when you delete your account under profile → settings → delete account, we deactivate your profile, remove your access to the service, and release your phone number so you may sign up again later. photos you contributed to banquets may remain for other members until those banquets expire. we may retain limited records as required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

5. your choices

update profile information in the app
manage notification preferences under profile → settings → notifications
disable push notifications in device or app settings
opt out of sms verification messages by replying stop to a message from us
delete your account in the app under profile → settings → delete account (permanent; cannot be undone)
report objectionable content or block abusive users in the app, or email help@photobanquet.com
request help with your data by contacting us (see contact)

6. security

we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. children

the service is not directed to anyone under 18. we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. if you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8. international users

if you access the service from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

9. changes

we may update this privacy policy from time to time. we will post the revised policy on this page and update the “last updated” date.
